Very true Alok, inadvertently I do a regular back up of the site. The software does a regular back up and I do a manual full back up every two weeks. I think that way we can always have a restore option if something goes wrong.
Also updating is something which I do fairly regularly, it somehow has become a habit now. Good to know that I’m doing a few of these things right 🙂

Yes Vinay you are right. Though I usually take the back ups of WP-content folder for only once in a month, but usually try to take the backups of database on a weekly basis.

Very nice Alok! One point, if you use Windows LiveWriter software to write your posts, even offline, all the written posts get stored within your laptop. You can download the software from Windows for free.
Only, I think the comments and followers urls may not get stored.-
