How to Write an Optimized Blog Post?

The biggest challenge in front of any budding bloggers is to write an awesome blog post, which can be liked by many people. I am sure you won’t be surprised to know that there are so many bloggers out here, who write some superb blog post, awesome content, but still not many people know them or are aware of their blog.

Do you know the reason why?

Do you ever consider the thing that despite creating such an awesome looking blog post, why not many people are still able to reach to them?

Let me tell you the reason why.

The reason being the fact that not many bloggers are much aware about SEO, and if some of them are aware about this term search engine optimization, they simply ignore implementing them on their blog post.

It is not a hidden truth that not many bloggers are aware about how to optimize their blog posts so that search engines can naturally give value to their content.

This is the main reason why despite writing some awesome content, still they are unknown in their respective field.

 How to Optimize the Blog Posts?

Other than the knowledge of SEO, many bloggers are out here that usually write great, but are not that much serious about blogging. They might be called as casual bloggers.

Many a times I have seen bloggers to involve with so many things like contest, etc. and this becomes the reason behind their diversion from the goals of becoming good blogger.

Here are a few tips which might help you to optimize your blog posts:

 Original Writing

Undoubtedly if you want to get the love from search engines, and even from your readers, then the very first thing which you required is to write original things only. Try to be original and write the things which you are comfortable with.

I might have discussed this thing many a times that on a single topic there might be thousands of blogs. But if you read all of them, you will find that different people write in different styles. They might be able to say the same things, but it should have written in a different way.

Every writer has different approach to express their thoughts.

Simply rewriting anything will not work in this highly competitive world. You need to be yourself to write something unique for your readers.

Let me tell you the fact that there might be millions of SEO personnel in this world. But when you ask everyone to write something on a particular topic of SEO, everyone will have a different approach to express exactly the same thing.

Now the main point is that if you are adding some values to it or not?

Do understand the thing that don’t only share something, just for the sake of doing something, rather write an awesome blog post when you have really something to share with the world.

 Killer Title Matters a Lot

Undoubtedly the importance of a killer title is too high. To be very frank a poorly written article might also get more reads than a nicely written article, only if the title of the poorly written article is better than the second one.

It is the first impression of any person, and hence it is a must. Don’t waste your talent in writing huge blog but with an unmatched or poorly written title. Here the importance of keyword research came into play.

Though you might argue me that a person who don’t have the basic knowledge of SEO will won’t be able to do the keywords research in the first phase only.

Up to an extent you are right. But then you will have to use this much of your brain so that you can analyze which is the best suited keywords for your blog. Then you can search if it is a highly competitive keyword or not, you can also see how many people are searching for these keywords.

And this is the way how you can do initial rounds of keyword research.

Thus select a proper keyword and use the same in the title of your blog post.

Some people also use a secondary keyword in their blog post.

 Great Beginning

Many of the blog posts fail this important aspect in which a person only reads the beginning of any write up and decide whether they will continue reading the same or not.

Hence, a great beginning of a blog post is always required as it will force the user to read the entire blog post.

 Header Tags

Header tags like H1, H2, to H6 really matters a lot. It is a way to structure your content. Many blogger has this tendency of writing in a flow, and hence they unable structure their blog posts.

To be very frank not many people prefer reading long-long article. Bullet points, small-small paragraphs, lists, etc. make any blog post attractive and readable as well.

 Linking Matters

If you are writing a blog post, then don’t hesitate in sharing your old blog posts in between them. It will not only provide the option of in depth analysis of your blog to the readers, but it will also benefit your old blog posts.

Even you also need to give at least one or maximum two links to some great highly admired resources, like linking to Wikipedia articles, or to any YouTube video will boost the ranking of your own blog.

No matter if you are linking to internal links only or to any external site, it is your prime duty to maintain the relevancy. Don’t ever try to insert any link into any blog post.

When you are creating a blog post on blogging tips, you should not link a blog post or resource on any finance related topic.

 Meta Description

When you are considering basic SEO of your blog post, you should always consider developing a unique and keyword oriented Meta description for your blog post.

It is the thing which will be displayed to user on the SERP (search engine result page), thus it might increase the CTR of your link.

 Tagging Matters

Creating relevant tags for your blog post is crucial, as you are tagging your blog post for that particular keyword or phrases. This will benefit your blog post in two ways, one it will have the chance to feature in SERP and second it will be displayed on the search pages of your own blog too.

 URL Matters

URL of your blog post also matters a lot. It should not look like a dynamic one; you might check your permalink to make it perfect. Still it is not a good idea to not edit the default URL of your blog post; you can anytime edit the same and make it search engine and user friendly.

 Graphics Matters

Graphics like images, infographics, videos, etc. matters a lot in the ranking of your blog post.

If you want to optimize a blog post, you should at least have a relevant and quality image into it. And yes don’t ever forget to provide an alt tag to it.
