Team Inspirati presents Episode 12 – Where is Roohi heading towards?

My team Inspirati and I are participating in a game of blogs initiative by Blog Adda to #CelebrateBlogging activity. We are writing a serial story, so far its 11 episodes are published and I am writing the 12th episode of the same.

Writing fiction is something in which I know that I am not that good enough. Honestly I don’t try much to write fictional stories, but then from the encouragement of a few friends of mine I started writing fictions too. You are already aware about the first fictional book of mine which is going to be published on 1st of October, and now read this fictional work of mine.

The story so far in this serial story is that the Dutta Couple, Shekhar, and Tara Dutta, are having a troubled relationships and Roohi the only daughter of them was suffering because of this. One morning Roohi went missing and the Dutta couple ran to the police station to file a missing complaint. Police inspector Tawde who is investigating this case, had a doubt about the hand of the maid Kamla in this incident.

But, before that he could interrogate Kamla, she ran away with Roohi. Meanwhile there is another story of a love triangle in between. It is the story of Cyrus, who is from Delhi, Jennifer who is a photographer and Vijay. Cyrus loves Jennifer, while Jennifer too loves Cyrus, but is being annoyed of the over possessive nature of Cyrus towards her friendship with Vijay. On the other hand Vijay also loves Jennifer.

Vijay and Jennifer reached to Mumbai to write a crime story on child trafficking and suddenly Jennifer spots Roohi at sea beach, but missed Roohi in between. Meanwhile Kamla who was trying to escape with Roohi was also spotted by Cyrus. Meanwhile someone hit Cyrus on his head and he had to be rushed to the ICU of a reputed hospital, and later to Coma. Meanwhile a new character enters in the story and it is of Aryan Ahuja, the neighbor of the Dutta couples.

Now…

While Aryan Ahuja was not the uncle with all the answers anymore, Roohi had not yet gained her senses from the drugs which Kamla had given her from time to time. She was not at all aware about what is going on around her. She had slept throughout the ordeal and it had almost been more than 24 hours since she went missing from her home, and she had not yet taken anything that could be termed as proper food. The poor baby is not at all aware where she is and where she is going to be.

Kamla; when she put the “Saaman” in the van had thought her duty got over with it. Her duty was just to deliver the baby to the delivery van. She was supposed to get the money for it, which no one gave her so far. After the delivery, she was supposed to run away and go into hiding. When actually she found herself hand in glove with the crime syndicate, traveling and helping with transportation too.

In the van, Kamla and Roohi were taken to a place which was more like a haunted house. Four well built persons were there playing some card games and the two guys from the delivery van put Roohi on the bench in the custody of those guys and left. Kamla for once felt like she was the only custodian of Roohi there. The place seemed a bit life-threatening.

One of the person who was looking horrific with the quintessential scar-on-face asked Kamla to make the call. She took out her phone and called a new number and said “Boss, saaman aa gaya” “Ab iska kya karna hai?”

The response from the opposite side was not audible to the rest, but the way she was shaking her head and saying “yes” “yes” was a clear indication that she was getting the instructions related to Roohi.

After around 2-3 minutes of call, she disconnected and told the gang to bring up the car. They took Roohi inside the car and escaped from there.

The Maruti Omni van which was carrying Roohi, Kamla and those 4 well-built goons was going towards the sub-urban area of Mumbai. Soon it reached to the destination where one more car was waiting for them. This car had two fine looking gentlemen who had a calm disposition about themselves. They seemed like the elites of the kidnapping and trafficking racket. They seemed to be in their thirties. Ironed shirts, well combed hair, though from the first sight one could confuse them as “Sharif” guys, but they were actually not that “Sharif”.

They took the delivery of Roohi, some cash transaction was made as Kamla almost dragged a drugged Roohi to the back seat of the car and they sped away from there. On the other hand the 4 guys who brought Roohi over there, just dialed a number and informed someone that everything had gone according to the plan.

While Jennifer came out of the home of Tawde after calling him with his first name, Prakash; Tawde was getting a phone call. Though it was from an unknown numbers but he was aware of whose number it was.

He was ignoring the call when Jennifer was there in front of him, and when Jennifer walked out of his house, he was still not picking up the phone. His keen police sense forbade him from any action right after closing the doors after Jenny as he knew that those who suspect you have this uncanny habit of staying back to spy on you especially when you usher them out in a hurry.

So he went to the end of his bedroom and opened an almirah. Took out a new mobile phone and called the same number from this new mobile. There was a long caller tune and he patiently waited for the other person to pick up.

“Hello, Kon Bolat Ahe” the voice of an elderly lady came from other side. It was clearly a voice who is too tired and tensed and nervous enough.

“Me.” Tawde paused and identified himself- “Saheb”.

The lady from the other side said: “Saheb, I delivered the “saaman” to the delivery van and now we are en route to Delhi”

“Very good”

“When will I get paid for it?”

“Very soon” Tawde responded “Soon you will get the reward for it, now listen, throw away this cell phone and break the SIM into pieces. One mistake and you won’t get a penny.”

“Be prepared to leave Mumbai soon” Tawde said this and disconnected.

One strange smile was there on his face.

“Bhaiya, thoda jaldi chalo bhaiya” (Bhaiya please hurry up!) Jennifer asked the auto driver. She took an autoricksaw to the hospital the moment she came out of Tawde’s house.

Lots of the things were going inside on her mind. If Cyrus was under some oath of secrecy, the way she gave him a hard time, the way she behaved in front of him, must have been more than painful for Cyrus. The guilt was eating away her heart.

All she wanted now was to cry out loud and if possible to reverse everything so that she can settle every fight which they had earlier. But she was aware that it was not going to be possible anyhow.

The car which was taking Roohi and those 3 persons was actually running somewhere in the range of 80-90 kilometers per hour. They were going to Delhi, to deliver Roohi to someone else. While Roohi was coming out of the fainted stage, they were aware that she can create trouble for them. Though the lady who was sitting with Roohi, had told the driver that this girl is hungry from the moment they picked them up; the driver and the two guys showed to intent to feed anyone.

After an hour, the driver said, “We will stop somewhere to eat something but if we came out with this girl she can create trouble for us. So, let’s manage to feed her inside the car somehow.”

Meanwhile Roohi came out of the fainted stage, and started crying. She saw so many unfamiliar faces along with Kamla’s ghastly countenance which he had begun to despise. She started crying “Maa, Papa, kahan ho aap?”

“I want to go to Maa and Papa”

Kamla, who was sitting with her, annoyed with her crying, slapped her tightly and put some chloroform on her handkerchief and placed it over Roohi’s mouth. Roohi once again fell silent.

“Poor girl” Kamla thought.

Jennifer meanwhile reached the hospital and ran towards the second floor. She just wanted to reach to her love as soon as possible. While Vijay was waiting outside the ICU ward, was excited to see her running towards ICU. He stopped Jenny just the moment she could hit the door of the ICU. He held her tightly to prevent her to enter the ICU. It was an awkward embrace that seemed to last forever.

“Hey Jennifer, where have you been? Just relaxed Jennie, calm down”

“How can I calm down Vijay?” “He went to coma and you are asking me to relax and calm down.”

“How can I?” said Jennifer and started crying.

Vijay consoled her and helped her to sit on the chair outside the ICU. “Where had you gone Jennifer?”

Vijay was clueless about what exactly happened why Jennifer had left the hospital and where she went.

Jennifer revealed all those things to Vijay. Vijay’s eyes went wider as he listened intently to what Jennifer had to say.
