Let me tell you one secret, if your website or blog is working well, up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends then users will surely love it but if not then your website will lack the major component for its success, i.e. traffic.

You might ask me how come a design can influence traffic of my website or blog.

Well, it is very much true that a poor design or a broken design or an out-dated design might lead your website to an unnatural death. Let me explain you how.

Is It the Right Time to Revamp Your Website Design?

Well, it is a fact that technology and trends change with time but it simply doesn’t mean that you should re-design your website every time when there is an upgrade in technology. You can simply update the software on which your website or blog is running and your website can be fine, like in case of WordPress sites you can simply update the WordPress version and the plugins to make your site perfect.

But then there are some certain scenarios in which you definitely need a revamp of your website design and these are:

High Bounce Rate

If you are thinking that your website is quite cool but still you are finding a bounce rate of around 85% or more then certainly it is the time to revamp your website design. To be very frank the web design of your site plays a very crucial role in deciding the stay of your visitors. A visitor is somehow coming to your website and found it interesting to surf for and then certainly it won’t become a bounced visitor.

But then if the visitor is coming and finding it a poorly designed site which not at all inspires them to stay there, they will certainly prefer to bounce.

To be very frank, a website should have a bounce rate of around 40-50% anything above that is considered as a bad value, though up to a level of 70% it is not that much serious.

Now when you are considering high bounce rate for revamping your website design then I would also like to suggest you about the poor quality content might be another reason for this. You need to analyze this factor as well before deciding to revamp your site.

Responsive Design

As I wrote above that if your website is having high bounce rate then one thing which you can consider about is preparing engaging and informative content on your website but then responsive design of your website is a factor in which you don’t have any other option to upgrade it.

It is the time when mobile searches are increasing day by day. Since the numbers of smartphones and budget smart phones are more handy and people are easily getting the good speed internet connection with them, they are now keen towards searching on their device only.

If your website or blog don’t have responsive design, it will be hard for it to stay in the mobile searches. You might also check my blog on the SEO benefits of responsive designs but if you go by my words, it is a must these days if you want your website to stand in the search engines.

So if you realize that your site is not responsive then you must go for a revamp and update it to a responsive and attractive design.

Missing Functions

Sometimes it is a possibility that your website is missing some very important things. It is also possible that you yourself might not be aware of this. So the best thing which you can do is to check it once as if you are a normal visitor to your website.

Try to locate if the user is having any issue in visiting all the pages and posts of your website. Sometimes it is possible that we find everything okay but somehow the user doesn’t get where to look for archives or older posts on your site. In that case, you should think about rectifying those missing functions or you can even revamp your website design to make it perfect.

Outdated Design

If your website’s design looks outdated, like you are using some things which were being used a few years back then I would suggest you to go ahead and revamp it. Do take care of the things like flash objects, copyrighted images on your site, pop-ups which might irritate your visitors, and try to remove those things from the newly designed site.

So those were some of the reasons why revamp of the design of your website is a must. Though it can also be possible that your website design is making your website too much cluttered, in that case too you should consider going for a new design. Whatever be the reason but always remember that you must need a responsive design at the end of the revamp.

Any kind of design flaw on your website is required to rectify as soon as possible. It might also be possible that you are thinking about changes in your site design but was not being able to fix it and then you might also contact me for suggesting the best possible things for you.
