Many bloggers differ on what posting often means. Many bloggers who write about blogging will say that you need to post multiple times a day, and there are those at the other end of the spectrum that tell readers that maybe once or twice a week is good enough. If you are trying to be the next Mashable or Huffington Post on your own, you will have to post several times a day with quality content. However, most bloggers should consider a daily update with quality content, trying to make sure that more than a week without updates doesn’t pass.

2.) Post images.

This is one of the blogging tips that a new blogger can easily forget. That slick, classy template isn’t enough. Your posts need pictures to keep them interesting.

Successful blogs enable comments, and some of the most successful blogs get A LOT of comments. This is actually one metric of how well your blog is doing; the more comments you get, the more people are paying attention.

Also, once a reader comments, they become invested in your blog. This means that they will keep coming back not only to see what you post next, but they will also want to know what people have said about what they wrote.
