Innovations, inventions, discoveries have transported us from the stone ages to the time of technology. Keeping the trend going; there are more developments taking place in the world. The chosen few are as follows:
Transparent toaster: It would be wonderful to see your bread getting toasted so that you can decide as to how brown so you want your bread. Keeping this in mind Inevitable Concept studio has devised a transparent toaster which is see through and a single piece of toast can be seen browning in the same. The idea used here is transparent heating glass technology. Though as of now the heat generated is not enough to brown the bread but the company believes that with little R&D this product will soon come in the market.
Origami DVD Player: This product is devised by the Israeli firm Mag-Ink who are using e-papers (fully flexible color display technology) to make portable DVD players. This video player is invented keeping travelers in mind who can watch a movie in the course of their journey. When not in use the screen can be folded into the case. There are flexible inbuilt speakers too. There is more work to be done on the same before launch in the market.
Nikon 360: This camera designed by Ye Chen is a futuristic digital cam clicking panoramic pictures using the built in inclinometer and angle indicator. The ergonomic cylindrical lens enables you to click multiple panoramic snaps without moving the camera on the tripod stand. There is a touch sensor enabling the operation of the camera and it gives a sophisticated appeal to the same. There are still decisions to be made on the mega pixel etc but soon it will be seen in the market.
Custom kicks: The sneakers of future. Inevitable studio has come up with these unique shoes for the sneaker lovers who not only go for practicality but also are extremely fashion conscious and know that sneakers rule the fashion world. There is an iPod like button in these shoes which enables the wearer to change the design and pattern of the shoe by merely pressing the button. These patterns would be generally predesigned. These shoes have always been everybody’s fantasy and it would be a pleasure to see them in the market.
Intelligent spoon - an honorable mention: This spoon is devised by Leonardo Bonanni and Connie Cheng. This spoon has a unique property to measuring the alkalinity, acidity and viscosity of the food. There is a cable which helps in attachment of the spoon to the computer and the information gathered can be used to measure the salt and other content of the food.
Self cooling beer cans: This can has been devised by Crown Holdings and Tempra Technology. The can looks like a regular 500ml beer can where there is a desiccant at the base which helps in cooling the beer. There is an evaporator which uses vacuum technology to draw the heat from the beer and pass it on to the heat sink container containing vinegar and salt. The heat sink container is insulated. The can gets cooled in 3 minutes to a temp of 30 degree Fahrenheit when opened.
