RCB Came Out With Flying Colors!

It was a must win situation for both the teams, be it Challengers or Otago. But it was Bangalore that stole the show and managed to grab a perfect win by 80 runs. Ofcourse when we say that the win was by a margin of 80 runs, then not many people would feel the excitement, but when we say that this win was grabbed in the T-20 format, it would surely excite all of you.

Of course, I saw the whole match and I was thoroughly mesmerized by an all-round performance of Kallis who took the match away from the opposition. What a batting and what a bowling. It was truly a delight watching him play the game.

All in all, I am happy that Challengers managed to grab a perfect win. Everything went according to plan. Actually I was expecting that Rahul would come at one down and stabilize the innings but Kallis too played a brilliant knock and stabilized one end in a brilliant way. Virat Kohli did a fantastic job and not to forget the awesome hitting by Roos Taylor that added a cherry on the cake. Not to forget the contributions by Uthappa and Kumble! I was mesmerizes after watching the last over of the Bangalore innings. It was sensational.

Of course, Otago’s players were looking restless after seeing a massive total on the board. Their players fell like a pack of cards and RCB managed to grab an easy win out of their hands! Now I am waiting for the next matches of this wonderful RCB team that I am betting on for the rest of the tournament.

What Went Wrong with RCB - Duminy!

It was all going very well. A total of 180 from the home side seemed alright. And with a good bowling line up and a weak opposition, a side with a total of 180 on board would always find themselves in a strong position. But there was one thing that came in the way of RCB and its win on the Cape Cobras. It was Duminy! He smashed an unbeaten 99 all over the ground and gave no change to the much experienced RCB bowlers.

Jean-Paul Duminy- Yes, that’s the name! He snatched the victory out of RCB’s mouth and gave them some solid reasons to think before their next matches! The Champions League Twenty20 started off with an average batting from the home team, followed by a truly amazing T20 innings by Duminy in his own style. He smashed strokes all over the stadium, giving spectators all the reasons to cherish, despite watching their team losing to a not-so-favorite team!

Robin Uthappa stabilized the RCB innings really well, along with Ross Taylor and a little bit of contribution by Rahul Dravid, but I guess the efforts were not enough to stop the Cape Cobras going for a massive win!

Pravin Kuman from Bangalore bowled some good spells and took some important wickets but couldn’t stop the ravishing batting by Duminy that in end proved enough to give Cobras a perfect win!

It can be called a one man show! Duminy with his eight fours and five sixes shined this time! Let us wait as to what is in store for us in the future matches!
