'New Passport Seva' Project which was launched in December last year, is expected to start by next year which will issue passports under Tatkal service within a day of application.
Passports under Tatkal service project, which is planned to be completed within 19 months, will also ensure that an applicant gets his passport within three days of application if police verification is not required.
