Aarushi murder case: Dr Rajesh Talwar released from jail

Dr. Rajesh Talwar who was in jail for 50 long days for being accused of murdering her own 14-year-old daughter Aarushi and their domestic help Hemraj, is finally released out from Dasana jail on Saturday morning.

A visibly shaken Dr Talwar said, “I was in a lot of grief. I thank God and CBI. Now I just want to be with my family.”

His relatives completed the formalities of providing surety for the bail given by a local court, on a surety of Rs 10 lakhs, to a tearful reunion with his wife Nupur Talwar, also a doctor, and brother, dinesh Talwar, and other relatives.

After reuniting his family,Rajesh Talwar said to the media, “Finally truth has come out. I will talk later on.”

Rajesh Talwar was very depressed on the murder of her beloved daughter and above all in this tragic situation, the charges of murder on him were a matter of deep grief for him and his family.

The superintendent of Dasana jail Ramji Singh too recalled the days Dr Talwar spent there saying, “He (Talwar) looked humiliated and refused to talk about Aarushi with other inmates or the jail staff. However, one week ago he offered his services (as a dentist) to jail inmates.”

Aarushi and Hemraj were murdered on the intervening night of May15-16 at the residence and Talwar was suspected in the murder who was later arrested on May 23 by Noida police on the basis of some interrogation and inspection.

Immediately thereafter the media also spurned various stories of Talwar’s alleged affairs with another woman doctor and that his daughter had come to know of it and quarreled with her father over the matter.

Later Dr. Nupur Talwar claimed that Noida police is framing her husband and they have no trust on police. She asked the court to submit the case to CBI. CBI made a lot of effort to frame out the killer but the truth is far behind. Initially CBI also suspected Talwar, but it is yesterday, the CBI told the designated court that they had no evidence to link Talwar to the two murders, after which the court granted bail to him.

Rajesh Talwar’s brother Dinesh requested the media personnel, “Rajesh needs support. We will share his feelings and tragedy that we have gone through. We thank everyone who stood by us in the hour of grief.”

Media is trying to catch the glimpse of this unlucky father and the family. While the media persons were chasing Nupur, she only managed to say that “I thank god that finally justice has prevailed. We will go home and face the situation.”

Yesterday after CBI gave a clean chit to Rajesh Talwar, Nupur said, “I am really grateful and indebted to the CBI for carrying out the investigation in such a professional manner and letting the world know the truth.”

CBI however will interrogate him again if the need arises or if they find any evidence against him during the course of their ongoing investigations.

According to CBI, the double murders were carried out by Krishna (Talwar’s compunder), Rajkumar (domestic help of Durrani’s) and another person named Vijay Mandal but the investigation is still going to hold some solid evidences.

Rajkumar confessed Aarushi’s murder: CBI!

Recent findings in Aarushi murder probe tightly encircled Raj Kumar, Durrani’s servant, into clouds of suspicion. Followed by his arrest after a blood stained washed T-shirt of Rajkumar was recovered from his house by CBI, the special court in Ghaziabad sent him to 14-day CBI custody on Saturday.

“The T-shirt had been sent to Gujarat for examination and a forensic team there had confirmed that it contained blood stains of a human being. It has now been sent for advanced investigation to Hyderabad and Rajkumar has been arrested,” Arun Kumar had stated.

CBI claimed in the court that Rajkumar had confessed to his involvement in both Aarushi and Hemraj’s murder. Rajkumar confirmed that he had switched off her mobile and then eventually destroyed it.

In his statement to the investigative agency under 161 of Code of Criminal Procedure, Rajkumar said, “I broke and destroyed Aarushi’s mobile phone. I could however help CBI in recovering Hemraj’s mobile phone and the weapon used in the murder - the khukri.”

CBI told media on Saturday that Rajkumar’s role in the case is peripheral and he could face punishment with regard to destruction of evidence. The CBI also went on to say that the murders were clearly pre-planned and those involved in the case have made sure that all evidence was destroyed.

Rajkumar had already been subjected to brain-mapping, lie-detector tests and a narco-analysis when he was held earlier. The CBI is now claiming that there were discrepancies in Rajkumar’s statements. Rajkumar’s confession does not take away the focus from prime suspects Dr Rajesh Talwar and his compounder Krishna, as told by CBI.

The T-shirt is an important piece of evidence. The team in Hyderabad will conduct a DNA test on the blood on the T-shirt so that they can determine whose blood it is. If the blood comes out to be of Aarushi or Hemraj, then definitely Rajkumar will be involved in murder otherwise he can escape.

Rajkumar had been picked up by the CBI and questioned twice before. He was named by Dr Talwar’s compounder, Krishna, during interrogation.

Aarushi murder: Blood stained T-shirt recovered, Rajkumar held!

A very crucial point came into light in Noida double murder case when a washed T-shirt of Rajkumar, Durrani’s servant, is obtained by his house by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The Durranis are family friends of the Talwars, whose daughter Aarushi was killed at night of May 15 in their residence in Noida. Rajkumar was arrested by CBI on Friday.

The T-shirt was examined by forensic experts which reports that the T-shirt had blood of human origin and washed to remove the stains. Earlier, Rajkumar had been picked up by the CBI and was questioned twice.

Joint Director of CBI Arun Kumar said that Rajkumar was subjected to lie-detector test, psychological assessment, brain mapping and narco-analysis tests at the Forensic Sciences Laboratory, Gandhinagar in Gujarat from June 23 to June 26.

T-shirt has been sent to CDFD, Hyderabad for further forensic tests, the official said. He would be produced before the Duty Magistrate in Ghaziabad on Saturday.

After CDFD examination, it will be clear whether the blood belongs to any of the victim, Aarushi or Hemraj. And if the result will come positive, then definitely the murderer might be Rajkumar. The recovery of this apparel can be a turning point if the result comes positive.

Aarushi-Hemraj murder is still a mystery. Aarushi’s father, Dr. Rajesh Talwar, a dentist by profession, was the first person who was arrested regarding the case on May 23. Up until now, Krishna, Talwar’s compounder, was the prime suspect in the case, but the focus has now shifted to Rajkumar.

On Thursday, court reserved its order on the bail application of Arushi’s father, Dr Rajesh Talwar. After this CBI told the court that they could not give him a clean chit as yet.

Krishna has been in CBI custody since June 13 when he was arrested. The court has sent Krishna into judicial custody till July 11 after he has completed his 4 day previous custody. Meanwhile, on Friday morning, Krishna was taken by the CBI to the Talwar residence where the CBI had proceeded to recreate the crime scene but no important clue was found.

Krishna had reportedly also assured the CBI in helping them in recovering the weapon used in the crime and also Hemraj and Aarushi’s mobile phones, which have not been recovered till date. CBI has conducted narco analysis and polygraphic tests on Krishna but still CBI is clueless.

The CBI on the other hand said that he has not been cooperating during interrogation. CBI says that he is not helping them.

Dr Rajesh Talwar sent for 14 days custody!

Dr. Rajesh Talwar, prime accused of Noida double murder case was produced in Gaziabad Special CBI Court and his judicial custody is extended by 14 days. CBI told the court that it wanted to conduct a polygraph test of Dr Talwar on June 20.

The judicial custody of Rajesh Talwar who was arrested on May 23 by Noida police for allegedly murdering his teenage daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj on the intervening night on May 15-16, was ended on Thursday.

CBI suspects that Krishna, the compounder of Rajesh Talwar, has killed both the victims, Aarushi and Hemraj but CBI told the court that Dr Talwar’s involvement in the murder of Aarushi and Hemraj was not ruled out.

Krishna was arrested by the CBI on June 13 after reports of various scientific tests were received by the CBI.

Forensic experts also believe that it is a case of lust killing only. Attacks on Aarushi’s face and slitting of her throat after she was killed shows that the murderer had a keen desire to kill her.

Krishna has not accepted the murder yet but he said that Hemraj asked for his Khukri (sharp Knife) on May 14 and he gave the same to him on May 15. He was also helping the investigating agency in exploring the murder weapon, which was still not found.

Court on Tuesday remanded dentist Rajesh Talwar’s compounder Krishna in six days of CBI custody as the agency claimed he was required for recovery of weapon used in murders.

Dr Anita Durrani and Dr Praful Durrani who are family friends and professional associates of the Talwar couple are also interrogated in the case. On Thursday, CBI sleuths detained the domestic help of the Durranis, Rajkumar, for questioning.

Rajkumar, who was earlier released by the agency on Wednesday night, was subjected to a lie detector test.

CBI has also sought bank account details of Rajesh Talwar on Wednesday.

Noida double murder: Who killed Aarushi?

Who Killed Aarushi?

The month long mystery of Aarushi-Hemraj murder is still a mystery as CBI is unable to find the culprit after such a thorough and nut-cracking investigation. Parents of Aarushi, Rajesh Talwar and Nupur Talwar are subjected to a polygraphic test on Sunday to know the truth of their statements given by them regarding the case.

It is the third lie-detector test on Nupur Talwar, and it was found that her statements contradicted those of her arrested husband, Rajesh Talwar. A CBI official said Nupur could be arrested on the basis of her statements.

“We have conducted three lie-detectors tests on Nupur Talwar since Friday. Two tests were conducted at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), including one today, and one at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), Delhi,” said the official.

It is suspected that Nupur Talwar can also be arrested by CBI. CBI , on Saturday picked up the domestic help of Dr. Anita Durrani, colleague of Rajesh Talwar, for interrogation.

Earlier Sunday, the investigating agency carried out a psychological analysis test on Rajesh Talwar in Dasna Jail in Ghaziabad.

Dr Rajesh Talwar’s compounder, Krishna who is the main accused of the case is in 3 day custody of CBI till June 17. It is also expected that Dr. Rajesh Talwar, who is already in police custody since May23, can be subjected to a narco test soon.

Search for the murder weapon has been intensified in the building of L-Block og Noida where Talwar’s house is situated. They are living in L-32 while Krishna is in L-14 flat. It is found that one can go from one flat to another through terrace easily. It was estimated that around 3 minutes took to reach Talwar’s roof from Krishna’s flat.

According to the sources, Krishna and Raj Kumar are the key suspects. However, it is also suspected that the duo may have committed the crime on the instructions of few other persons.

An industrialist friend of the Talwars and the Durranis is also expected to be put through a lie detector test. The industrialist, who works with Flex Industries, had lent his car to the Talwars in which they went to Haridwar to cremate Aarushi.

More arrests likely in the case, according to the sources. The investigators also questioned guards, security supervisors and a garbage collector.

Now there are so many faces on which CBI suspects including Mr. and Mrs.Talwar, Krishna and Rajkumar. The question is still unanswered - Who killed Aarushi?

He has been charged with Murder, criminal conspiracy and destruction of evidence and has been arrested in Delhi under IPC Sections 302, 210 and 120(B).

CBI Joint Director Arun Kumar while talking to the media said that Krishna has been arrested based on the scientific evidence collected by subjecting him to various tests. Till now he was subjected to three polygraph tests, 2 in Delhi and one in Bangalore, a psychological assessment test in Delhi and a narco analysis test in Bangalore. He was brought back to Delhi before arrest.

Surprising information was that Krishna called in CBI office on May 14th, just a day before the murder. According to the call details, the call was made by Krishna’s number on CBI landline number 011-24360509 of room no. 532 but the call was disconnected within seconds without any conversation. The question which rises is that why he called CBI? Is that was mere accident or he wanted to tell something to CBI?

Some new names also came into light during investigation; one of them is some Sushil Jha of Samastipur who is believed to be an acquaintance of Hemraj. It is reported that he met Hemraj on the day of murder on May 15 at a local vegetable vendor’s stall and they together spent an hour on the day. Also Sushil allegedly made some phone calls to Hemraj before his murder. CBI has detained the vegetable vendor named Akhtar for interrogating.

On May 15 in evening, Krishna called Hemraj twice on his cell. On first call they talk for 12 minutes at 5 pm. After half an hour they talk again for 2 minutes. Later Krishna came back to home from clinic. It was told that they talked at home also. Hemraj also made a call in Iraq at Bagdad on a special number at 7:33 pm on the same day. After a break of two minutes same call is again placed by Hemraj in Iraq. CBI is trying up to find the reason why Hemraj have to call at this number after talking to Krishna.

The investigating agency reportedly has also questioned some Noida based industrialist friend of the Talwars’ whose vehicle is believed to have been used in the crime.

During his narco test Krishna was asked nearly 300 questions. He confirmed during his answers that Dr. Talwar is innocent and Aarushi is a good character girl. CBI says that his narco test revealed important clues regarding the case. The investigating agency, however, refused to disclose any further details about Krishna’s involvement in the case.

According to the report he CBI is not satisfied with first narco tedst and the team might conduct a second narco analysis test on Krishna on Friday in connection with the Noida double murder case.

Krishna, a Nepalese, had been working as compounder at Rajesh Talwar`s Noida clinic for the last three years and was a confidante of Hemraj. Rajesh has been under arrest for alleged involvement in the murders.

The family of Krishna insists Krishna is innocent and that he was at home throughout the night of May 15-16 when Aarushi and her domestic servant Hemraj were murdered.

Meanwhile Krishna’s family approached NHRC for its intervention in the matter as it insists that he is innocent. The family alleged that “brain mapping and narco analysis on him has been done illegally.”

Krishna’s sister Parvati along with some relatives met NHRC officials and submitted a petition alleging violation of human rights of her brother by the CBI. NHRC spokesperson said the petitioner had met Commission’s joint registrar M L Aneja and submitted the petition.

Krishna was the first person to have informed the police of an alleged affair between Dr Talwar and Dr Anita Durrani.

“The precision of the wounds on Aarushi`s body suggest that the murderer knew surgical procedures. This raises a finger of suspicion at Krishna, who is a compounder at Rajesh Talwar`s clinic,” a CBI official had said.

Aarushi murder case: Narco test of Krishna over!

Krishna, compounder of dentist Rajesh Talwar, who is supposed to be a crucial key of the Noida twin murder case, was subjected to a six-hour-long narco-analysis test by CBI in Banglore on Thursday to reveal some useful facts related to the crime.

CBI refused to disclose the result of the test. However Dr Malini, who executed his test in Forensic Science Laboratory, told prior to the test that the permission for narco analysis of Krishna has been obtained by the court. She was not available after the test to get the information of the outcome of analysis.

Earlier polygraphic test on Krishna was executed on Wednesday, while brain-mapping test is slated for Thursday.

Meanwhile three officials probing the double murder case has been shifted today by the CBI followed leakage of information pertaining to the case to a media house.

The officers who were removed from the team are: DIG Zaki Ahmed, Superintendent of Police and an IPS officer of 1993 batch from Uttar Pradesh cadre, SP R S Dhankar and an Additional SP.

However CBI denies any removal of officers from the probing team. Sources in CBI claimed the SP had applied for leave as he had to leave for the US and the Additional SP had some domestic problem.

Country’s most mysterious murder of Aarushi, daughter of Rajesh Talwar and their domestic help Hemraj on May 15 made the CBI to bite their fingers. On May 23 police arrested Rajesh Talwar for allegedly murdering his only daughter and Hemraj reasoning that he saw the victims in objectionable position. Later the case is handled by CBI which is trying hard to get the clue of murder. Till date no solid evidence is there which can prove Rajesh Talwar or any other as murderer.
