Photo-identity cards mandatory in Rajasthan!
A photo-identity card is set mandatory for all the citizens in Rajasthan as the upcoming Assembly elections are coming this year. State Deputy Chief Election Officer PC Gupta said citizens must produce the photo-identity card to be allowed to cast their vote. The Rajasthan State Election Commission has issued this rule today.
The voters list in this district was published on January 25 this year. In the last election, however, voters had to show any one of 15 authorized documents in order to exercise their franchise.
