Immigration consultants in India!

Immigration regulations of many of the major developed countries encourage qualified applicants to become permanent residents and permit them to permanently live and work in destined country with their families including spouse and dependent children. At a later stage, they also permit such permanent residents to become citizens.

Preferred Indian destinations include Immigration to USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Singapore and Denmark- amongst many others. India provides amongst the largest number of skilled general skills Immigrants and tradespersons, including Information technology (IT) and Engineering, healthcare, marketing and management professionals.

With so many countries offering Immigration and permanent resident visa to skilled professionals and executives, choosing the right immigration destination is a major challenge for those who are qualified. And helping them in making a right choice are Immigration consultants who assess their background, qualifications, language skills, age vis-à-vis immigration rules and regulations. After assessment, such consultants guide their clients through the entire process ending with issuance of visa and post settlement services in the destined countries.

While one man shows and agencies fill the information gap in smaller cities and towns, the majority of Immigrant application comes from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmadabad, Surat, Ludhiana, Chandigarh and Jullandhar. At a corporate level, by the years of service in existence, awareness, trained staff and support infrastructure two names stand out: ABHINAV AND WWICS.

Abhinav Outsourcings (www.abhinav.com), known popularly as ABHINAV is a boutique Immigration and visas consulting company and is servicing clients since 1994. With company run and managed offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore it is strategically located to service clients from major regional cities. ABHINAV has major international associations and alliances that ensure that clients get the desired and correct Immigration consulting and professional advice. The CEO of ABHINAV, Mr. Ajay Sharma is among the pioneer of Immigration consulting profession in India and was among the very first to start providing Permanent residency and visas consulting services in India. He has written – as an immigration and visa specialist- for almost all major Indian daily and financial newspapers. Though a busy CEO- his personal contacts are available to all his clients and that ensures immediate solution to a situation that cannot be resolved at the staff level.

Where ABHINAV stands out is its transparency and for the reputation it enjoys for not making wrong commitments. Also ABHINAV offers the complete bouquet of Immigration consulting services for almost all countries- Australia, Canada, UK, New Zealand, Denmark etc- that are inviting Immigrants. The shortcoming ABHINAV faces is that it does not have a network of operational offices that can offer the clients an advantage of one-to-one counselling. ABHINAV has made major investments in providing web marketing, on-line services and staff training. ABHINAV is also in the process of establishing a nationwide chain of franchising offices to achieve this objective. Company is known for its subdued pointed marketing and is known to do maximum business against referral marketing.

ABHINAV has a niche on marketing Immigrant Investor program for Canada and specialises in managing and guiding business and investor migrants. This category requires major expertise and knowledge skills as clients are high net worth seasoned businessmen. ABHINAV services are also preferred because the fee charged is reasonable and affordable.

WWICS, Worldwide Immigration consulting services (www.wwicsgroup.com)  is another corporate level Immigration consulting player in India. Also in business since early 1990’s, WWICS claims to have the largest network of offices in India. It also claims to be world’s biggest and largest immigration consulting company. The basis of this claim, however, is not known. The company is known for its aggressive marketing style and chain of international and domestic offices. On investigation, however, it has been found that many of the claimed offices – mentioned on the company website and especially in smaller cities – are actually not operational. WWICS is known to market work permit – for various markets and especially for Canada but figures are not available to prove the actual success in getting such promised work permits. WWICS region on strength is Punjab, where is has the corporate office. In cities outside of Punjab, the company has presence but services in metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad get constrained due to highly demanding and educated clientele. It is learnt that company staff is driven by high incentive structure, creating a situation where impractical promises and commitment are made on regular and ongoing basis. Where the company stands out is the pro-active image of being a huge corporation engaged in Immigration consulting business. Though the fee charged by WWICS is almost double of what is charged by ABHINAV, the company still signs good business. And as they say, image is a key determinant in decision making process and nobody known aggressive marketing strategy better than WWICS and is known to do maximum business against new business.

To choose between these two main Immigration consulting companies in India is indeed a difficult choice for the prospective migrants. In the end, those looking for personalized one-to-one service expected of a boutique firm end up with ABHINAV and the ones looking for size and infrastructure end up being with WWICS.

Slumdog Millionaire, a British movie with an Indian heart!

One time I thought this movie will appeal only to Indian audiences, but the film has gone global and won the Oscar, not only one or two, but eight. The movie Slumdog Millionaire is made by the British director Danny Boyle.

The novel on which this film is based has 12 chapters answering 12 questions to win that million by Jamal, the given name in the novel was Ram Mohammed Thomas, but the director changed that to Jamal for the film. Likewise there have been minor changes to maintain the pace of the movie Slumdog Millionaire.

It is a Hollywood-Bollywood movie. It grips you from the start and takes you through a roller coaster ride first through the biggest slum of Bombay, Dharabi and then the under belly of Bombay.

The story is of a boy growing up in Dharabi and wins a crore in Kaun Banega Crorepati or 2 million dollar. He correctly answers all 12 questions though being an illiterate. The answer of each question has story to tell connected with his life.

India justifiably has much to celebrate about Slumdog’s night of Oscar glory. A R Rahman struck the high note with two Oscars. Rahman’s music is rooted in the soul and sensibilities of the best of the Indian classical tradition and yet retains the ability to resonate internationally.

I think director has done a good job by not choosing the known faces of Bollywood for the lead cast, though the story is farfetched but the casting coup of anonymous actors has made it quite plausible. It is a compelling film which is continuously moving forward backward like life itself.

The last scene with a Bollywood style dance on the railway platform will remind you that there is a Bollywood in the movie. It is a director’s movie…. It is a British movie with Indian heart.

One of the finest traveling places in India is Puri, which is situated at the eastern coast of India. Puri is famous for the famous Jagannath Temple and beautiful Sea Beaches. Puri is around 557 Kilometers from Kolkata and around 56 Kilometers from Bhubaneshwar. The famous and wonderful wide white-sand beaches, superb resorts and fishing farms are the properties of Puri.

How to reach to Puri?

Transportation to Puri is quite easy and convenient; you can choose the three ways Air, Rail and Road to reach to the Puri. Puri is connected to almost all the parts of India by rail network. You can get daily trains to Puri from almost all the major stations of India. On the other hand nearest Air Port to Puri is in Bhubaneshwar which is popularly known as Biju Patnaik Airport. You can always get daily flight to Bhubaneshwar from New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Nagpur, and Hyderabad.

What to see in Puri?

White sand beaches of Puri are the most popular go out place in India. You can enjoy the sun bathing, surfing and swimming in the clean water at Puri beaches.

Temple of Lord Jagannath is the must see place in Puri. It was constructed by Raja Ananta Varman Chodaganga Dev in 12th century. The statues of the Jagannath Balabhadra and Subhadra are really superb.

Gundicha Mandir and Konark Sun Temple are two of the famous places to visit in Prui. These are a few memorable places in Puri which can remain in the heart forever. Other than these historical places you can also look for the handicrafts of the region. Soap Stone, Sea-shell, Pattachitras and Palm Leaf paintings, Horn work, Wood carvings, and Solapith work can be purchased from Puri.

Right time to visit Puri?

Although you can visit Puri at any time, but October to March is the perfect time to visit Puri.

Incidents and Events of the year 2008 for India!

If you’re new here, and interested in the latest news and insights on news from India and world, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks for visiting I News India.

The year 2009 has arrived and when we will look behind to the year 2008, we will find these as the main events of the year 2009 for India.

First One: Nuclear Deal.

Indo-US Nuclear Deal has for the first time proved that national welfare has more value than the political selfishness. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was so keen to pass this bill that he never considered about his own government. Later he got the support of the Parliament too. Finally India got the strong friendship of United States. India got the inclusion in the N-Club along with the regular energy supply.

Second One: Mumbai Terror.

New form of world wide terror, 26/11 strikes to India in Mumbai. Despite providing lots of proof of the involvement of the Pakistani based terrorists organization’s hand behind this attack, Pakistan is not at all agreeing to the claim of the Indian Government. Year 2008 provided some big hole in the security system of the nation, Jaipur, Bangalore, Ahmadabad, Delhi, Guwahati and then Mumbai taught some lesson to the security forces. People from different states came together and forced to the government to take some serious step against terrorism and to change the attitude.

Third: India on Moon.

Indian scientists got the huge success of the accomplishment of the mission moon. The cheapest and the best mission to the moon were named as Chandayaan I. This established India into the super powers of the world. India is now ready to provide the cheaper space program to other countries too, and ISRO is planning to launch the manned mission to the Moon very soon.

Fourth: Aarushi Murder Case.

One sad incident of the murder of Aarushi in her own house despite the presence of her parents in the house in Noida is still unsolved. This murder case got the biggest attention of the media; still CBI is unable to solve the case.

Fifth: Assembly Elections.

Termed as the Semi-Final of the parliamentary elections which is scheduled in the year 2009, the assembly elections in Manipur, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir proofed that Democracy is the back bone of the country. People came out to vote even despite the “Boycott” of the elections by some unwanted forces in J&K. Performance of the governments became the major criteria during these elections.

Sixth: Flood in Bihar.

The development of the Bihar Government during last four years was washed away in the flood. The problem was not so much tragic as the situation was. Attitude of the people caused more problems to the people who suffered during the flood situation. We need to change our system to tackle the situation.

Seventh: Fall of the Share Market.

The impact of the global market fall was so big that it reached to the Mumbai Stock Exchange too. Sensex falls deeply and this caused affect on the job sector too. Real Estate, Aviation, became the victim of the slow down. Finally India is thinking about how to recover from this impact.

Eight: First Individual Gold Medal in Olympics.

The biggest dream of India came true this year. Abhinav Bindra clinched first ever individual Olympic gold medal for India in the men’s 10m air rifle shooting. Other than him, Vijendra Kumar and Sushil Kumar too came up with medals and India is now taking the other sports (other than cricket) seriously. Jitender Kumar too won the heart of the fans.

Ninth: Lessons on Cricket Ground.

India virtually became the super power in the field of cricket too. India got the new captain in all the format of cricket in the form of M. S. Dhoni. India performed quite well in the three formats of cricket T20, ODI and Tests too. Some of the seniors like Saurav Ganguly and Anil Kumble retired this year.

These are the main incidents of the year 2008 which happened in India.

Top 5 Movies of India!

If you’re new here, and interested in the latest news and insights on news from India and world, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks for visiting I News India.

I am a big lover of the Hindi Movies. My favorite time pass is to watch movies with friends, either in home or in theater. One day one of my friends asked me about the top five movies of India which any how played major role in changing the theme of the movies. We discussed a lot on this and finally I came up with these five big Indian movies:

1> Mother India: The biggest hit of 1957. A movie directed by Mehboob Khan. Lead role was played by Nargis with Sunil Dutt, Raaj Kumar and Rajendra Kumar. This movie left a big impact on the society. The movie goes ahead in the flash back of the Radha, played by Nargis. The film did the business of over INR. 40 million. After this movie Sunil Dutt married to Nargis.

2> Mughal-E-Azam: One bigger success of Bollywood, just after three years of Mother India. Mughal-E-Azam came in 1960. This movie actually took 9 years to finish. It was a super duper hit. It broke the record of Mother India, which was later broken by Sholay. The movie was the love story of the Mughal prince Salim, who later became Jahangir. This movie was directed by K. Asif. and the lead roles are played by Dilip Kumar, Prithviraj Kapoor, and Madhubala.

3> Sholay: The movie which has changed the mainstream cinema of India, later it was recognised as the “Film of the Millennium” by BBC India in 1999. This movie has earned around US $ 60 million. The film was produced by G.P. Sippy and directed by his son Ramesh Sippy. Lead roles are played by Sanjeev Kumar, Dharmendra, Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Jaya Bhaduri, and Amjad Khan. Gabbar Singh became the well known name in each and every house of India.

4> Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge: DDLJ was one of the bigger hits of 1995. The movie was directed by Aditya Chopra. Lead roles are played by Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Amrish Puri and Anupam Kher. It is one of my all time favorite movie. I watched this movie 23 times in theater so far and will again go to watch it if I found it playing in any of my near by theaters. The story of the movie was the love story of two NRI’s which was liked by every one.

5> Lagaan: The first major hit of the 21st century in Bollywood. It was released on 15th June 2001. It was the third Hindi language film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. The movie was directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar, and the lead role was played by Aamir Khan, Gracy Singh, Rachel Shelley, and Paul Blackthorne. The film was the story of the 19th century. Director of the movie Lagaan, Ashutosh Gowariker, once said that it was almost impossible to make Lagaan. This movie Lagaan was the India’s official nomination for the 2002 Oscars.

Although there are so many films made in Mumbai in Hindi, but I decided to make this list based on the discussion with my friends. I hope you would love this post and I will be waiting for your comment on this.

In a latest update to the investigation of the Mumbai Terror attack, the US warned the India about a possible attack on Mumbai a month back only. As per CNN news, this sort of information was confirmed.

US have already warned the Indian government about a possible attack on Mumbai and they said that a group might enter the country by water and launch an attack on Mumbai. This is a sensible matter and Indian government is doing the damage control steps after the attack.

The relationship between India and Pakistan is worst affected from this attack. The army of both the country is at a red alert from last few dates. It is like an emergency situation in both the countries.

In an attempt to give punishment to the responsible persons, Indian government has already removed Mr. Shivraj Patil from the post of the Home Minister; on the other hand the home minister of the Maharashtra government, Mr. R. R. Patil too faced the heat. He has resigned from his post. Maharashtra CM Mr. Deshmukh has too reported to resign from his post, but the Congress party has not taken any decision on his resignation yet.

Earlier Pakistan government has announced that they will send the ISI chief to India to help the investigation process, but they later denied it. On the other hand they claimed that they had not received any evidence that militants from within its borders carried out the attacks. They are always saying that they will fully support the investigation.

Indian government has already warned Pakistani High Commissioner in Delhi about the evidences and it’s stance on the Mumbai attack. On the other hand Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan has also passing the strict message to Pakistan government.

On the other hand US have supported India in every aspect of the investigation. US secretary of state Condoleeza Rice is coming to India. This is creating some extra pressure on Pakistan.

Film Festivals in India!

If you’re new here, and interested in the latest news and insights on news from India and world, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks for visiting I News India.

Film festivals are such a platform where a maker gets to showcase his movie in front of different classes of audiences. In such a way they make for a great way to introduce the movie to the public and get them to see it and appreciate it. Though film festivals in India arrived a bit late, but they are soon gaining popularity. So the Indian movie makers are opting for film festivals to gain popularity for their films rather than straightaway releasing them at the theaters.

Gift from Hollywood: Basically the unique trend of film festivals had been borrowed from Hollywood. Many movies in Hollywood first debut in various film festivals and then they mark their entry into the cinema halls for the audience. Some of the recent great hits of Hollywood like Babel, Brokeback Mountain, mighty heart, a beautiful mind and many more had first made their debut at various film festivals. Following their path of success and glory, even the Indian film makers started introducing their movies in film festivals to gain popularity and audience acceptance.

Why film festivals are important: Our Indian film makers have now learn from the Hollywood and are opting for film festivals before releasing their movies in the theaters. Film festivals are a wonderful medium to show one’s movies because you get to show your movie to the various audiences from different countries and streams. In this way the movie gains global popularity. Also one secondary function of film festivals is that they fetch your movie a good media coverage which you wouldn’t have got otherwise!

Scenario of film festivals in India: Well, film festivals in India are still in its nascent stage. Though they are improving and gaining popularity but they still have a long way to go. Few film festivals in India are the Osian’s film festival, International Film Festival of India, Mumbai academy of the Moving Images International Film Festival. Though they are slowly becoming popular, they still lack support from big sponsors as in the west. But with time it seems that film festivals in India are going to be next big thing. And it’s a win win situation for both the movie makers and the audience!
