An Indian immigrant burnt alive during riots in SA!
The ongoing racial clashes in South Africa claimed the life of a Fifty five-year-old Indian immigrant on Wednesday night.
Niten Singh, who was a photographer, was burnt alive by a mob in his home in Actonville, Johannesburg after being attacked by nearly 100 people from a local hostel at the photographer’s residence. No arrests have been made yet.
Johannesburg has been witnessing attacks on foreign nationals since almost two weeks. Locals have been targeting Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Malawi nationals for taking their jobs. But now, even Asian immigrants are facing the brunt of the violence.
More than 24 people have been killed, hundreds injured and about 13,000 people have been left destitute since violence first erupted in the township of Alexandria, near Johannesburg on May 11.
