Love Story 2050 Vs Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na!
This weekend two new comers are trying there luck in bollywood with their first debuts released on the same day, July 4. Aamir Khan’s nephew Imran Khan is going to rock in ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’, while director Harry Baweja’s son Harman would be seen in the much talked futuristic Love Story 2050.
Sweet and sour, both kinds of responses were obtained from the public for the actors before the release. Harman Baweja was compared to Hrithik by public and media too. People claimed that Harman has Hrithik like style in dancing and face cut. Photographs of Hrithik and Harman were published in newspapers showing the two actors at almost similar angles. But the actor ignored the issue and did his best to promote the movie along with his co-star Priyanka Chopra.
The competition was neck to neck. Hence producer Aamir Khan and his nephew Imran Khan also shown his efforts to promote their movie and cast more votes in favor of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. They participated in various functions and television programmes for promotion. Aamir Khan has high expectations from the movie. Even he is comparing it with his super hit debut movie ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’, which made him a star. The movie song ‘Pappu Can’t Dance’ has some similarity with ‘Papa Kahte Hain’. The same magic is tried to generate by movie songs, film scenes and plot of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.
While Love Story 2050 is plotting a futuristic love story with lots of special effects given by four international companies, ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ is a sure winner for the younger generation.
Harman (karan) is acting for a young in Love Story 2050 and all time happy guy who don’t believe in rules. Priyanka is in double role (Sana/Zeisha). While Sana is a sweet and shy girl who follow rules of life, Zeisha is an arrogant and bold one who don’t believe in love. Karan falls in love with Sana.
Two robotic characters Boo and Q2 will also be seen playing a major role in the film. but fails to entertain. Boman Irani(Dr Yatinder Khanna) plays an eccentric scientist uncle of Karan. Archana Puran Singh, Harsh Vasisht, Mehezabeen Sarela, Rachit Trehan and Karan Verma were other co-stars.
Sana was later killed by a speeding truck when she’s crossing the road with an ice cream. Scientist uncle then takes off with Karan for a trip into the future and here comes another Priyanka (Zeisha) who is well living in Mumbai 2050.
Special effects seem to make little sense in the context of the story. Although the effects tried hard to work out for an unusual futuristic love story but fails. Javed Akhtar has written the songs and Anu Malik has composed the music. Love Story 2050 song ‘Milo Na Milo’ has also become popular due to superb dance performance of Harman Baweja
On the other hand written by Munna Bhai fame Abbas Tyrewala, ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ is a romantic film based on the love story of Imran Khan (Jai Singh Rathore) and Genelia D’Souza (Aditi Mahant) . The film plot revolves around Jai who is the most non-violent Rajput either side of the Aravallis and Aditi, a violent and passionate girl.
Aditi thinks Jai the biggest coward who has nothing Rajput-like in him while Jai thought Aditi as a very arrogant girl with a bitter tongue.
Genelia is spontaneous and sparkling while Imran is good at his part. He’s unconventional and vulnerable and he knows how to use both to make a lasting impression. Both have a good chemistry on screen which keeps the scene alive.
Abbas Tyrewala has given the lyrics and AR Rahman has composed the beautiful music. Music is appreciable.
The big question is now, who is the best? Imran or Harman. From my side, Imran is better. Harman is more looking like Hrithik and the original Harman is somewhere missing. Imran is cool and lively with originality. Now it’s your turn to cast the vote.
