Gujjar row: sedition case filed against Bainsla!
Here comes a sudden twist in the story at the last minute of Gujjar agitation demanding for ST status which drops the chances of possible breakthrough in the Gujjar-Rajasthan government deadlock. The community leader Kirori Singh Bainsla on Tuesday declared that no further talks would take place unless his two conditions are met.
He asked to release the arrested women activists were and to withdraw murder charges were against 20 protestors before second round of talks in Jaipur.
Bainsla agreed for peaceful talks with Rajasthan government after a long tussle between two sides and the first round of the talk was held in Bayana on Monday. He has made the two demands a pre-condition for the talks which were to be held in Jaipur, a senior state government official informed source.
He said that the written commitment given by 70-year-old Bainsla in Bayana on Monday about holding of the next round of talks has been retracted.
“However we are making all efforts from our side” to revive the dialogue process, the official said on phone from Bayana.
Bhim Singh Bika, the SHO of the Bayana police station, has registered a case against Kirori Singh Bainsla under Articles 121A, 124A, 147, 148 and 149, charging him of sedition.
Meanwhile, Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has arrived in Bayana and it is suggested that he is there to mediate between the Rajasthan government and Gujjar leader Kirori Singh Bainsla to defuse the 17-day imbroglio.
The spiritual guru is staying at the residence of Rajya Sabha MP Ram Das Agarwal.
