Deshmukh welcomes migrants to Mumbai with anti encroachment rules!

Maharashtra Chief Minister first time give his statement on the migrant issue in the state saying that people from other states are welcome to live in Mumbai but they should not construct illegal encroachments which deprive citizens of public amenities.

“We cannot stop migrants from coming to the state but anti-encroachment restrictions can be imposed upon them,” he said.

Maharashtra government decided to make strict rules against encroachment by migrants from other states.

“Migrants cannot misuse the city’s infrastructure, which is meant for taxpayers because the city’s infrastructure is heavily burdened,” Deshmukh said.

Reportedly Biharis and North Indians migrate in major population in Maharashtra. Raj Thackray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Seva (MNS) had started campaign against North Indians and Biharis. Deshmukh is trying to solve the migrant issue and the subsequent issue caused by it.

The government’s housing projects for low income group would provide houses on rent for the poor, may solve the problem of increasing slums in the metropolis, he said.

On the other side, BJP minister and Bollywood actor Shatrughan Sinha said that no visa is required to live and work in any region of India. He also said that North Indians should avoid giving any controversial statements on any comment. He appealed North Indians living in Maharashtra to solve the issue intelligently and peacefully. He said if ‘Bhojpuri’ is their mother tongue and Bihar is their native place then Maharashtra is their work place.

North India Shiv Sena unit resigns!

North Indian leaders of the Shiv Sena have resigned en-masse from the party protesting its offensive behavior and conduct towards non-Marathis and North Indians in Maharashtra. The leaders decided to float a separate party of their own.

“The new party will give due respect to different regions, languages and cultures of India and will allow total freedom of thought and expression,” Shiv Sena’s North India chief Jai Bhagwan Goyal said.

Leaders of party unit in Himachal Pradesh include Dinanath Pandey, Jharkhand Shiv Sena chief and Madhukar Dogri who resigned.

“Shiv Sena is no different from Khalistan and Jammu and Kashmir militant groups, which are trying to create a rift between people along regional lines. The main aim of these forces is to split our country,” Goyal told media persons in New Delhi on Wednesday.

“The outrageous conduct of Shiv Sena towards non-Marathis and North Indians in Maharashtra has deeply hurt the sentiments of Shiv Sainiks in this region,” he said.

Goyal who was associated with the Shiv Sena for the past 20 years, accused the saffron group of getting reduced to a ‘private limited company’ run by party supremo Bal Thackeray’s son Uddhav and his followers, and further charged them with wanting to limit the party within Maharashtra’s boundaries.

“Bal Thackeray’s role has been reduced to a mere puppet and he is acting according to his son’s wishes,” he said.

Goyal said, “If the attacks on our people will not stop, we will retaliate and we can go to any extent.”
