The Bollywood most popular super star Amitabh Bachchan remarked India as a developed country. While in a press conference promoting the latest leg of his “The Unforgettable Tour” in London Amitabh Bachchab said : India should no longer be dismissed as a “Third World” country but should henceforth be given due respect as a “developed nation”.

He made this statement replying the question - what it meant to be an Indian today and about the nature of the relationship between India and the diaspora, increasingly third or even fourth generation, scattered across the world?

Bachchan stated: “India today is a recognized force and I hope to see that India is no longer referred to as a Third World country or a developing nation – it should be referred to as a developed nation and a first (world country).”

He said: “Primarily we are very proud of our country, we are proud of our history, we are proud of our culture – it goes back thousands and thousands of years. We are proud that we fought for our independence, we are proud that we are the largest democracy in the world and we are very proud now of the way India is progressing after the economic liberalization.”

Bachchan is on world tour with his wife, Jaya, his son, Abhishek, and daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai. With other stars, including Preity Zinta and Riteish Deshmukh, have entertained Indian audiences in Toronto on July 18, Port of Spain in Trinidad on July 20, Los Angeles, on July 26, San Francisco on July 27, Houston on August 2, Atlantic City on August 9, Chicago on August 10, and New York on August 15. Shilpa Shetty is going to join the latest leg of “The Unforgettable Tour” by Bollywood actors which is to take place on Sunday at the 14,000-seat O2 Arena in London.

The current reports said that the tour will end after concerts in Amsterdam on August 29 and in Oberhausen in Germany on August 30.

The long talks between the Bollywood damsel Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shankar for the Rajnikant dream project ROBOT have finally reached to a conclusion leading Aish to sign the movie for which she is being paid mind boggling money estimated to be around six crores making her the actress to be paid maximum ever in the Bollywood history. The project being produced by Ayngaran international, is supposed to start off in the last week of August after a small pooja, as opposed to the first week of June, as plans originally, due to some problems.

Considering the whopping amount being given to Ash, date problem could not have been an issue for this star struck actress and as considered, she has offered bulk dates to the producer. Lately being in the news for the Bachchan parivaar’s “Unforgettable World Tour” which is being organized by Wiz craft and starring a list of some A-list bollywood celebrities, Aishwarya now sure has become every actresses’ envy. The world tour, which is to begin on July 6th is almost a two months long event after which the Bachchan bahu is goin to start off with her Robot.

In the meanwhile, till the time Aish covers the world tour, Shankar is planning to shoot a song for his movie which does not require her presence. As the lady finishes the family professional tour, she would again be globe trotting with the crew of Robot, as Shankar plans the shooting of his dream project all around the world.

Her recent release, Ram Gopal Verma’s sequel to his hit Sarkar, Sarkar Raj, also brought accolades to the actress where she was seen with her new family, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and the hubby dear Abhishek Bachchan. After winning Big Brother show in the United Kingdom, Shilpa Shetty has made her place in the A- list of the bollywood stars. The small Britain stint has brought not only an inflow of cash and movie offers but has added her name in the most talked about people of the tinsel town.

After her recent success of Life… in a metro and being in the news for her relationship with a certain Mr. Kundar, Shilpa had recently come out with a yoga cd of hers in which she has revealed her yoga knowledge for a toned up body like hers. But most recently she has made news for herself by committing her dancing skills to be showed off at the ‘unforgettable’ world tour being organized by the Bachchan family.

Confirming the news of her being a part of the world tour Shilpa informs that she would be dancing in two acts sharing the stage with the very new bahu of the bachchan parivar, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She explains her excitement to be working with Aish by stating that as both of them belong to Mangalore, she hopes that they would get along very well. Adding to this she claims that Preity, who is also a part of the show, is a hassle free person and would be good to work with. With this she recalls that it isn’t the first time she would be doing a stage show with Amitji but her excitement is at a different level when she has to work with the whole family.

When enquired about the sudden entry of her in the show, she replied that it wasn’t a sudden decision, they were planning it out and when it got finalized, it was announced. An all charged up Shilpa would be a part of the show throughout whereas Madhuri would perform in the United States and Canada and Akshay Kumar would be present at the inaugural show at Toronto.

The much talked film of the Bachchan’s family has hit the theatres across the country. The much acclaimed trio from the Bachchan’s family: Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya are coming together on screen for the first time in this highly anticipated film. The entire fortune of the family is at stake.

With son Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya, Amitabh Bachchan is all set to pull in crowds for Sarkar Raj, a sequel to Ram Gopal Verma’s Sarkar which focused on one powerful family of Nagres in the politician-underworld nexus in Mumbai. Although Amitabh Bachchan is always saying that Sarkar Raj is not the sequel of Sarkar. The movie was a big hit with wonderful direction, brilliant performances and most importantly, excellent climax.

‘Sarkar Raj,’ directed by maverick Ram Gopal Varma extends the storyline of Sarkar. Two years later Sarkar- Subhash Nagre (Amitabh Bachchan) inherits most of his power to the son Shankar (Abhishek Bachchan) who is happily married to Avantika (Tanishaa).

Then comes Anita Rajan (Aishwarya Rai - Bachchan), CEO of Sheppard power plant, an International company, who brings a power plant proposal to set up in rural Maharashtra before the Nagres. After convincing Sarkar (Amitabh Bachchan) who is initially against it for various reasons, Shankar undertakes a journey along with Anita to the villages of Maharashtra to mobilize support of the masses. Trouble as expected comes when millions of people stand against the highly controversial project in a state that is witnessing the worst of coalition politics. Shankar’s dream project gradually becomes a political minefield and the evil forces mightier than ever mushroom and gang up to bring down the regime of Sarkar and obliterate Shankar’s name from the political horizon.

Prashant Pandey’s story was primarily good but he disappoints in the later part of the story. The first half of the story is convincing and interesting but the same is missing in the later part. Sequences in second half are unacceptable. However climax is strong and superb.

Villains give a cool feeling to the story. All the baddies-Govind Namdeo, Siyaji Shinde, Upendra Limaye and Rajesh Shringapure stand out because of the coolness of their characters.

Abhishek Bachchan has done a wonderful job. The movie can said to be belonged to Abhishek. Amitabh Bachchan gave a superb climax while Aishwarya gave brilliant performance. Her expressions, performance and dressing sense, all are appreciable. Tanisha’s work is also satisfactory.

Music is given by Bapi-Tutul. The song ‘Jalwa Re Jalwa’ is appreciable. Cinematographer Amit Roy was very unusual and better than in Sarkar. Dialogues are quite sharp.

Ram Gopal Verma who got a lot of criticism by his previous movie- Ram Gopal Verma ki Aag, can regain the lost prestige of him by this movie. Though his direction is as usual great but it seems hard if he could do this. Once again the second half part of the movie regrets the expectations of the viewers.

Bachchan’s family respect and prestige is also at stake on the movie as the trio is coming together first time on the screen after Abhi-Ash marriage. Earlier they have been seen in Bunty and Bubbly’s very famous item song- “Kajrare- Kajrare”. This is the first time the three are acting in a movie. But it seems hard to crack the nut by Bachchan family!

The hot Bollywood couple Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will celebrate their first wedding anniversary in Miami on April 20. Abhishek is there shooting for Dharma Productions ‘Dostana’ and Aishwarya is going to be with him.

“Not that they planned so. It just happened,” says Amitabh Bachchan.

Abhishek-Aishwarya marriage was one of the grand weddings of last year and the two are the hottest pair in Bollywood. Media was kept away from their wedding occasion and very close relatives and friends were invited to give their blessings to the couple. The pair will however be available to Mumbai media through a new technology ‘skyscape’ from Miami.

‘We’ll get them by a new technology called skyscape to speak from Miami to media persons in Mumbai at the launch of ‘Sarkar Raj’ - which happens to be on the same evening as their wedding anniversary,’ he said.

Ram Gopal Varma, the director of ‘Sarkar Raj’ said that it was just a coincidence that the unveiling of his film will take place the same day.

‘I didn’t even remember it was Abhishek and Aishwarya’s wedding anniversary on April 20. We decided to do the First Look party of ‘Sarkar Raj’ on this day because it was six weeks before the release,’ said Verma.

Excited Ramu said, “This is the first time the actors of an Indian film will be connected to the media via satellite. We’re doing it through a technology known as skyscape. I think it’s very exciting to reach out by modern technology in this way. Aishwarya and Abhishek will be live from Miami in Mumbai.”

However, Big B will be present at the Mumbai event.

When Ramu was told that the wedding anniversary may overtake the ‘Sarkar Raj’ event, he declined the fear saying that it doesn’t matter.

“We cannot separate Abhishek and Aishwarya’s life from ‘Sarkar Raj’. Very soon after the First-Look event we’ll have the music release. T-Series is releasing the music soundtrack.” He said

Pakistan’s new Prime Minister Yusuf Raja Gilani is also among the list of big fans of Bollywood actress Ashwarya Rai Bachchan and Singer Lata Mangeshkar. Gilani said to a TV channel, “I had watched almost all the movies of Aishwarya Rai while in jail. Along with this, I also listened Lata ji’s songs and truly said, I am a big fan of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan presently.”

From Sufi Genre, Gilani became a big fan of Lata while imprisoned in 2001. He was arrested for making irregular appointments while he was president of National Assembly.

One of the faithful of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, 55 year old Gilani chosen jail in place of breaking relations with PPP. President Pervez Mushraff Government offered him to break links with PPP against release from jail.

Being the Prime Minister of Pakistan is big fan of Bollywood actress and singer, there can be expectations of releasing more Hindi films in Pakistan.

After proving herself by beauty and firm acting in films Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has snatched the tag of most expensive heroine in Bollywood.

Aishwarya is going to charge Rs. 4 crore for her role in the upcoming movie ‘Robot’. This is the biggest amount paid to any actress in Bollywood till date. Aish will be Rajnikant’s heroine in this movie.

A close source of Aishwarya told that the amount paid to her is around Rs 4 crores. She has no trouble with gossips of being ‘the most expensive actress in Bollywood in media. After giving a hetric of hit films like Guru, Dhoom-2 and jodha Akbar, Aishwarya is at the top of the world.

Although Bollywood actress are not getting even one-fourth of their price but other actress will also be benefited by this success of Aishwarya. Actor Rajnikant is taking Rs 15 crore for a film. Apart from this he also shares 50 per cent of the total profit of the film.

Aishwarya rai bachchan, in only her early 30’s, is all set to pen her life. She had acted in only about 30 odd films still this Bachchan bahu is already giving serious thought about writing an autobiography!!

She is going to highlight the major events of her personal and professional life in her autobiography, as told by the sources.

Aishwarya’s spokesperson, Hari Singh says: “Yes, quite a few authors and publishing houses have expressed their desire to work on her biography. Aishwarya is definitely not interested in commissioning her biography to anyone. She wants to pen it herself. I doubt if she is already working on her autobiography, although she is known to make personal notes of various events in her life.”

It is known that her mother Vrinda Rai is a writer. Sources indicated that she will help the actress in documenting her life.

The only question rise is how honest she will be in her autobiography? Well! People have to wait to get all the answers.

The Taj Mahal was once again in news— and this time it wasn’t for World heritage or terrorism but because Abhishek Bachchan aka Bunty took his beautiful bride, Aishwarya Rai to he monument of lobe on her Birthday.

The Taj Mahal is the ultimate symbol of love and for the first time it was in news for all the right reasons. The two lovebirds, Aishwarya and Abhishek visited the famous tribute of immortal love to celebrate the former Miss World’s birthday.

Aishwarya Bachchan, who is starring in Mumtaz was seen at the Taj Mahal in Agra along with hubby Abhishek, who sold the Taj in his on screen Avatar- Bunty. Jaya Bachchan and Amar Singh were also spotted among other family members at the Taj Mahal.

The Taj Mahal is an epitome of love built by Moughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is the official place in India thronged by honeymooners to brace everlasting love and it was indeed symbolic of the lovebirds to visit the marble monument.

Aishwarya was also spotted on November 29, at Prateeksha in Mumbai breaking her fast on the occasion of Karwa Chauth. Following her April wedding, it was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s first Karwa Chauth wherein the actress fasted for the long life of her husband. Among the guests were present Kirron Kher and Sonali Bendre. Special mehendi was also applied for Aishwarya on the occasion.

The duo seems to be deeply in love and why not? The Indian film industry’s biggest star, Amitabh Bachchan’s son, Abhishek and the emerald eyed former Miss World, Aishwarya Rai’ make a ravishing pair.
