Why do we leave the ones we love?

You promise to stay together till the last breath but you left me alone when I am still breathing.

Are words so easy to be spoken that one does not even want to keep it and do not feel embarrassed in not keeping it. Why don’t we have laws for all those who back out from what they say and don’t mean it later? Why things become so difficult between the ones who were considered to be the most compatible. Once Shahrukh Khan said “You are together till you want to be together and if any relationship fails that’s not because you no more compatible, that’s because you are no more dedicated to it.”

What is love? - Different people with very different meanings. But what can be one common meaning among all the different answers – Love is Unconditional. Two people coming together mentally and physically, becoming two bodies and one soul (the very filmy way of interpreting it) are actually with two different minds, two different temperaments and with two different likings ( as opposites attract each other)  and therefore how one can expect the other to behave and react in the same manner. That’s why we say Love is unconditional where you respect your partner the way he/ she is – Good or Bad or Whatever.

Accept the person the way he/she is because you have decided to spend life with each other forever and ever. But what If your partner starts taking an undue advantage of this statement, Changes behavior like a chameleon? Here we trust our instincts and take a call. Few will sit, talk and discuss and would give their best to make it happen and few other would just walk off leaving the partner behind. The ones who discuss are the ones who want to fight with the situation and believe in themselves, their decisions and the later ones are self centered who believe in no compromise life not at the cost of their happiness.

About My Valentine!

If you’re new here, and interested in the latest news and insights on news from India and world, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks for visiting I News India.

Every body is trying to get the perfect life partner. I am the lucky one who got her quite easily. Many friends of mine always ask about her, but till date I never reveal her name in public.

It was the second Valentine day which we spent together, in fact last year too we spent the VD together but not in the manner in which we spent the day this time. Last year we spent the day in a public program and this time it was totally private occasion.

I met with my Valentine a few years back, we became good friends but I never thought about making her my life partner. It was she who later reveals her feelings about me and I accepted her as my soul mate. I was aware that she is the sweat and charming girl and the most important thing is that she loves me a lot.

For me her love is the most precious gift given by God to me. I understand that it is she who changed my life completely, that’s why she has more value compared to other friends of mine. There is nothing in my life which is a secret for her and the vice-versa is also true, means there is nothing in her life which is a secret for me.

This year on Valentine Day, we first went out for a movie and then we took the lunch in a restaurant. After this we did a bit of shopping and that’s all about the VD.

We never gave each other any gift, still we enjoyed the day in a superb manner. We actually love each other so much that we don’t require any sort of gift to express our feelings. Without saying a word from our mouth we can easily understand the feelings of the other one. I think this is what the definition of love is.

I know that I don’t have enough words to define her self and the feelings about her, but still in this small note I tried to bring out my heart. I will ask you people to pray about us and one day from the same platform I will announce the complete detail about her too. Thanks for all your support.

Forgive Me Grand Maa…..

Today also if I recall that incident, I get goose flesh and my eyes fill up with tears.  How miserable I feel when I think about it. It always reminds me of a well-known saying by Nasreen that “Some pains set up home in your heart and out of love, stay with you all your life”.

Living in a joint family was not easy for us, where my siblings and I were grown up listening to those heated arguments between my grandmother and mom. No one liked the grandmother‘s outspoken attitude. She used to persistently nag and criticize anyone who wanted to act smart with her. An impatient woman is what we can call her. However I admire her beauty, tall, slim and fair (typical Indian Matrimony type). She had those curly hairs, which I used to love playing with. She always used to force me to cut them off to as short as I can, well! No one can dare to argue with her so finally I always have to chop them off.

It was strange for me to see her craving to eat noodles and a coke. She always used to ask me, when will I cook noodles and will get a coke for everyone so she could also be a part of the feast.  But I never took any effort to please her. Whenever we all felt like eating it, I cooked noodles, bought a coke and gave it to her at last.

I think I got this disliking towards her because she used to get messy with my mom. But never did I sit with her to know what the problem is and how I can help to sought it out. Might be I was too young for all this.

One day we got news that dad is getting transferred to a metro city. We all were very excited and happy to relocate. When asked grand ma about it, she refused to come along as her entire life was spent here and she would never want to leave this house. Finally we shifted into a beautiful house in a metro city leaving her behind with Uncle & aunt (as ours was a joint family).

It is very well said “you realize the importance of a person when he/ she is not with you”. The same happened to me. She used to cry over the phone with her crooked voice telling us that she is missing us badly. I was a grown up girl by then and started realizing how we deprive theses old people and expect them to be alone or either visit temples.  Once in a blue moon when we all used to visit her, she used to take me to her room, hug me and cry about being so lonely. She was feeling terrible so do I. Not even once she got to eat those noodles and a coke. Her grown hairs are irritating her but no one to trim them…

After several visits of ours, one final day she requested that she would like to come with us leaving the house behind, where she has spent almost 70 years of her life, got married, gave birth to my dad and uncle, nurtured them and also spent those memorable days with late grandfather.

I was in a hurry to go back home and thus replied her that I will come soon to see her next time and will surely take her along. But the next time never arrived because just after a month we got a call from uncle saying that SHE IS NO MORE….

I learnt a lesson not to ignore to what your loved ones tell you or ask from you because life is short and regret is lifelong.
