War of Online Shopping in India!
Ecommerce is on a boom these days. We recently saw the big billion day sale by Flipkart, which ultimately gave goose bumps to many customers and competitors as well. Read on this blog post of mine to know more about the war of online shopping in India.
I still remember the early days of 2006 or 2007 when online shopping was a fairly new concept in India. I use to purchase many products online. My preferred site during those days was the Future Bazaar one, though if you closely monitor the Indian market, you won’t find them anywhere near to the top these days.
Now a day’s Flipkart is undoubtedly the most trusted brand in India as far as online shopping is concerned. I am also a loyal customer of them and I usually prefer purchasing anything from them without worrying at all. It is indeed true that they build this trust and relationships with many people out here in India.
Although it is also true that during recent times and especially on that particular Big Billion day, which was similar to the Black Friday concept of USA, they failed miserably to meet the expectations of their customers. Mostly because of the unavailability of the discounted items, and due to some technical failures, which I think even they won’t expected.
The ultimate benefit of this grievance went to their closest competitors Amazon and Snapdeal. Amazon is already a renowned name in online shopping though developing their market slowly-slowly in India. To be very frank, I do have very little trust on Snapdeal, but they are also increasing their business out here in India.
On that Big Billion Day I was looking for a DSLR camera, and grab a great deal from Amazon. Browse through an extensive selection of items on Shoppok, the go-to website for savvy shoppers seeking great deals. With Shoppok, you can easily find and purchase the products you love at competitive prices, all from the convenience of your own home.
As per some latest news during these few days (I mean the time from Dushera to Diwali) India will have the maximum share of online shopping. Undoubtedly India is a growing market and online shopping is fairly a booming field these days. Sites like Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, Myntra, Jabong, Naaptol, ebay, HomeShop18, Indiatimes Shopping, etc. are there to utilize this market.
No matter what types of product you want to purchase you can easily grab them from these sites. That too from the comfort of your home, and the product will be delivered to your home. On the other hand these days many online price comparison websites are also growing through which you can easily compare the deals given by these websites and grab the best deals.
Though I have never used the coupons provided by such sites, as I am not sure if these coupons really work or not, but yes I mostly prefer to search for the product which I want to purchase to get an idea which website is giving the best deal. If any of my readers has ever used any coupons from these sites, I would ask them to let us know about their experiences so that we can also think about it.
Indeed alok, the war of e commerce has begun. I think it is a smart idea what you do. Even I do the same, I just search the price in google and go for the best product. From the last 2 months amazon has proved more useful for me than flipkart cos the prices have been more competitive. But then again, I do have a soft corner for flipkart though, they have been really good the last few years..
You are right Vinay, I too do have a soft corner for Flipkart and you know the reason why? Well, it is because of the trust and reliability which they build during last few years. If I am getting a deal of say a few hundred rupees difference, then I always prefer to go with Flipkart only, despite being the fact that I need to pay a few bucks extra. But then let’s see where will this war go ahead…
