Reason behind Excessive Sweating!

Those who live around me can understand why I chose this topic. Excessive sweating is something which always irritates me, but I can’t do much to resolve it. I even sweat during winters too. I was wondering what to respond to those who ask me why are you sweating so much.

Hyperhidrosis, the medical terminology used for excessive sweating and increased perspiration, is caused by many reasons. It depends on some internal issues related to our body, and as well as sometimes it also depends on the external environment too. Generally we do consider this situation as normal, but it is not a normal scenario. For teens, it happens due to some biological and emotional reasons too.

Here are some of the reasons which might be behind excessive sweating:

Overweight: One of the main reasons behind excessive sweating is obesity or overweight (which is valid in my case too). If you are overweight then you have the genuine reason for excessive sweating, as due to overweight body exerts more power to hold your overweight body, thus causes internal warmth, which converts sweat at your body.

Menopause: It is the situation in which some women’s might sweat a lot, as this is the period when there body alters a bit and thus might cause excessive sweating. During this period many changes happen in the body of the women, so it might also be a reason behind excessive sweating.

Exercise: For some people exercising can also become a reason behind sweating. The reason why our body sweats during exercise is that the body exerts extra heat during exercising time, and the body automatically tries to cool it down with the help of sweating.

Mainly you can categories excessive sweating into two types, one type is known as generalized, while other one is known as focal hyperhidrosis. Generalized hyperhidrosis occurs over the entire body of the person (which is in fact the case associated with me too), while the focal one is the case when sweating occur only at a particular area like face, chest or any single part of your body.

Sometimes excessive sweating can also be caused by your sensitivity towards some situation or food items. This can be considered as a way or indication that something is wrong with you and your body indicates the same to you by displaying sweat at your body.

Many people also consider this problem associated with the genetic issue too. Although the reasons which we mentioned here are all general one and your excessive sweating might have some other reasons too except these. What I would recommend you is to visit your doctor and consult him so that you can have the exact reason and treatment for the same.
