One of the finest traveling places in India is Puri, which is situated at the eastern coast of India. Puri is famous for the famous Jagannath Temple and beautiful Sea Beaches. Puri is around 557 Kilometers from Kolkata and around 56 Kilometers from Bhubaneshwar. The famous and wonderful wide white-sand beaches, superb resorts and fishing farms are the properties of Puri.

How to reach to Puri?

Transportation to Puri is quite easy and convenient; you can choose the three ways Air, Rail and Road to reach to the Puri. Puri is connected to almost all the parts of India by rail network. You can get daily trains to Puri from almost all the major stations of India. On the other hand nearest Air Port to Puri is in Bhubaneshwar which is popularly known as Biju Patnaik Airport. You can always get daily flight to Bhubaneshwar from New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Nagpur, and Hyderabad.

What to see in Puri?

White sand beaches of Puri are the most popular go out place in India. You can enjoy the sun bathing, surfing and swimming in the clean water at Puri beaches.

Temple of Lord Jagannath is the must see place in Puri. It was constructed by Raja Ananta Varman Chodaganga Dev in 12th century. The statues of the Jagannath Balabhadra and Subhadra are really superb.

Gundicha Mandir and Konark Sun Temple are two of the famous places to visit in Prui. These are a few memorable places in Puri which can remain in the heart forever. Other than these historical places you can also look for the handicrafts of the region. Soap Stone, Sea-shell, Pattachitras and Palm Leaf paintings, Horn work, Wood carvings, and Solapith work can be purchased from Puri.

Right time to visit Puri?

Although you can visit Puri at any time, but October to March is the perfect time to visit Puri.
