Entire nation is almost at the verge of a halt due to the strike of the IOC employees. Almost all the major cities of India are running hard to get the required petrol from the remaining open petrol pumps. Most of the petrol pumps are closed last evening only.
As per the news only a few HPCL petrol pumps are running, but they too are in a danger of running short of the demand within a few hours only. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is scheduled to meet with the Petroleum Minister Murli Deora and with some of the executives of the Oil Corporation to resolve the crisis.
Today is the day three of the strike and it strikes the population of India on last night only. People started to sale the petrol in much higher prices compared to the normal prices. The shortage of petrol in the petrol pumps of all the major cities caused panic among the people, thus unwanted elements took the benefit of the situation.
On the other hand the strike of the Truck Association is also showing affect now. The shortage of the essential products like vegetables, fruits etc. is now showing affect on the market. The prices are started going up and it might go to the worst scenario. Middle class family is facing it badly.
One of the side effects of the strike is the shortage of electricity in the national capital Delhi. Two of the power plant was closed due to the shortage of the gas. 17 gas-based urea plants have been shut down due to the failure of getting the gas essential for its running. We all are looking towards the Government to take appropriate action to resolve the situation.
On behalf of I News India we also request citizens of India that please don’t listen to the rumors. Don’t create panic. It is a temporary situation and Government will take appropriate action to resolve it.
